Your clients' data, handled carefully.

Trellis exists to read financials, so how we treat that data is the whole job. This is the plain-English version. Last updated July 2026.

What we access

When you connect a client, you grant Trellis read-only access to that client's accounting data (via Xero) and, if you choose, the folder of accounts you point us at (via Google Drive). We only ever read. We do not post, edit, move or delete anything in your Xero or your Drive.

What we do with it

We use the figures to populate your portfolio (cash, runway, burn) and to generate the finance review you see for each client. Generating that review means sending the relevant figures to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the analysis. It is used to answer your request and is not used to train anyone's models.

Who can see it

Your clients and their data are yours alone. Each account is isolated: another member of Trellis cannot see your clients, your figures or your reviews, and you cannot see theirs. We do not pool, share or sell your data or your clients' data. Nothing about one client is ever shown to another.

How it is stored

Data is held in our database (hosted in the EU/UK region) over encrypted connections. The access tokens that let us read your Xero and Drive are encrypted at rest with a key that is never stored alongside them. You can disconnect a source at any time, which revokes our access, and you can ask us to delete a client and its data.

Your control

You decide which clients to connect and can disconnect any of them whenever you like. To export or delete your data, or to ask anything about how it is handled, email hello@trelliscentral.com and we will action it.
